MOST Ministries' Partners Program is designed to assist you in becoming more actively involved with international missions, even if you are never called to go on a trip. Mission Senders are a vital part of mission work. For every person who leaves home on a short-term mission trip, many more are needed to support them from right here in the States... before, during, and after the mission trip.
Listed below are several partnership opportunities:
Prayer Partner!
Become an integral part of a mission team by providing prayer support for our team members before, during and after their mission trip. As a team Prayer Partner, you will receive a mission trip calendar and specific information about the mission, learning about the culture in which your adopted team will serve, their project, and the people with whom they will work. Individuals, small groups and families are needed to take the praises and concerns of our teams before the throne of God.
Evangelism Partner!
MOST Ministries team that serve in an open country provides an opportunity for the Gospel message to be shared with the local people. This sharing is done through presentations, devotions, viewing of "The Jesus Film", and individual witnessing. Witnessing aids, such as bead necklaces, crocheted finger puppets, tracts, and literature in the local language are all used to share Jesus' message.
You can help our teams by collecting, making or purchasing the following items for our teams:
Mentor Partner!
If you have served on a team before use your experience to help prepare others as they head off to the mission field for the first time or as they take on a project you have previously done. As a Team Mentor, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences with a team or individual... what you saw, learned, did, what you wish you would have known before hand or wished you had packed... etc. Here is a chance for you to use your experience to equip others for success on the mission field.
Financial Partner!
In addition to the time and work team members expend preparing for and carrying out a mission project, they are also responsible for the costs involved. You can help send an individual or team by providing financial support for the trip or project costs. $10 is the average cost per hour for team members to serve overseas, $25 provides transportation of 50 pounds of project supplies, and $100 provides one interpreter's services for a project. Project Partner!
Do you feel strongly about providing clean water for people who do not have it, glasses for individuals who cannot see, or education for those who cannot afford it? If so, consider adopting one or more of the twenty-plus projects MOST Ministries provides around the world. Listed below are a few examples of how you can be a Project Partner!
Eyeglass Ministry - 10,000 people are served each year through our eyeglass ministry, but in order to provide the correct prescriptions, we need over 100,000 pairs annually.
- Collect glasses at your work, school, church or anywhere people gather. (Click here for directions)
- Provide the funds to purchase prescription lenses that are needed on the field but are not donated. MOST Ministries can buy glasses from $.70 - $2.00 per pair, depending on the prescription and quantity.
- Provide the funds to purchase a "flipper set" for our teams. Flippers are used to accurately determine prescriptions on the mission field. ($300)
English as a Second or Foreign Language - ES/FL teams provide needed language training to children and adults in developing countries. MOST Ministries uses a Bible-based curriculum so the Gospel message can be shared as students move through the lessons.
- Provide workbooks for 100 students ($100)
- Provide teacher curriculum for a team ($360)
- Provide recreational materials and items, used to reinforce lessons through sports and activities ($150 per team)
Police, Men's or Women's Ministry Teams - In response to requests from our ministry partners around the world, MOST Ministries provides specialized projects which focus on professional, personal and spiritual growth. Curriculum can be provided for an entire team for $100.
Water Outreach - MOST Ministries' newest project provides purified water, health education, improved sanitation and evangelism in Latin America, where 130 million people live without safe drinking water.
- Supply the curriculum and materials needed to provide hands-on health education for adults and children ($300 per kit)
- Provide funding for one Bio-Sand Filter, which will be constructed with materials purchased in the local community and put together by the family who will use it. ($75 per filter)
