LCMS World Mission Ministry Partner: MOST Ministries is recognized by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod as a Recognized Service Organization (RSO) and works closely with LCMS World Mission within the framework of our Ministry Agreement to support strategically the needs of missionaries in the field and to help them achieve their ministry goals.
Trained Team Leaders: Every MOST Ministries team is led by a trained team leader. Before any team leader can lead a team of their own, he or she must have participated in at least four MOST Ministries teams, both as a team member and a team leader trainee, and completed a team leader training course. Our team leaders are well-versed in crisis management and handling virtually any issue that may arise on the field. They serve as knowledgeable liaisons between the team and our in-country hosts. They also serve as spiritual leaders and encouragers, helping team members to see Christ at work in and through them. Our team leaders are also Red Cross certified in First Aid and CPR. You can depend on them to facilitate a meaningful mission experience for your short-term teams!
Strategic Service and Attention to Detail: Our Team Administrators communicate with missionaries and national church partners around the world to identify their strategic ministry needs and how short-term mission teams might help them meet their strategic ministry needs. Our Team Administrators work with the field to arrange all of the project and travel logistics, including flights, accommodations, food, transportation, visas, travelers insurance, etc.
Commitment to Safety and Security: MOST Ministries daily monitors safety and security issues around the world so that none of our teams face undue risk on the field. We register all our teams with the embassy in the country where they will travel. We have staff on call 24 hours a day/7 days a week when teams are on the field and we provide emergency contact information for friends and family at home. We also have an international medical doctor on call 24 hours a day/7 days a week. In addition, we have more than 25 nursing protocols in place for the most common illnesses that can happen on the field and approved medical bags for all our teams.
