Project Details:
Using a very simple testing system created specifically for MOST Ministries, this team will test vision and distribute eyeglasses to those in need. During daily clinics, team members will test patients' eyes and then fit them with the appropriate corrective lenses. Depending on the number of team members, a team can serve 100-300 people daily.

Eyeglass training is provided by the team leader and is completed in three to four hours during one of the team meetings. If team members cannot attend the meeting, training is provided for individual instruction. When the team arrives on the mission field, a final hands-on training is provided.

In order to minister to the spiritual needs of patients, each eyeglass clinic includes a witnessing station unless it is prohibited by the host country. At the witnessing station, the Gospel message and information about the home church is shared by the local missionaries, national pastors or the lay ministers. Team members are always welcome to work at the witnessing station or to share Christ's love with the patients as they come through the clinic.

Materials for Projects:
Each eyeglass team will be asked to collect 3,000 pairs of eyeglasses providing a wonderful opportunity to involve your friends, church and community in the mission trip. Homemade witnessing materials and eyeglass cases are also needed. Please click here for step-by-step instructions. Contact Lynn Wrightson by email or at 734-994-7909 for additional information.

CCCS In Guatemala:

Since the beginning, Guatemala has become almost synonymous with CCCS. Prayers are needed for the newly formed CCCS Committee of Guatemala. CCCS Guatemala oversees eighteen projects and provides coordination and support for CCCS sites in Guatemala.

New mission starts are finding support from familiar faces. Traveling to Cabanas, the desolation and poverty are evident on the outskirts of the city. With a heart for mission, former CCCS student Cipriano Mendez Bustamante accepted the call as principal in this village outside Zacapa. A family from his public school approached Cipriano and asked for help in starting a house church. Ciprioano requested mentoring and assistance from two fellow CCCS graduates, Carlos Figueroa (Director of the CCCS Home for Students in Zacapa) and Pastor Luis Jasinto of Gualan. Regular services and Bible school programs now highlight the home church’s programs. Carlos notes, “We are praying our Lord God opens the windows of heaven so CCCS can support many nations in education and spiritual growth from the Word of God so His word will not return void but bring life to many adolescent children.”

Contact / Application Information:

MOST Ministries believes that the work of foreign missions must be a direct response to the requests and needs of the mission field. Through strategic planning, areas of need are identified and a plan of action is set in place to enable team members to utilize their gifts and talents in meeting those needs.
